Job summary

OakTree Staffing seeks a Pipeline Safety Data Specialist to support MAOP-related data research and verification. You will locate, evaluate, and apply strength test, material, and survey records across ARAS, SharePoint, Aconex, and related systems to establish TVC disposition and accuracy.

You will develop MAOP Reconfirmation work scopes, coordinate with Project Execution, and maintain thorough documentation of findings.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Research and locate strength test, material, and survey records from multiple sources supporting MAOP.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate records to determine TVC disposition per procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Correlate TVC records to pipeline locations and assets.
  • Identify gaps or data quality issues in MAOP records.
  • Prepare GIS service requests to correct missing or inaccurate records.
  • Archive TVC evaluation packages within ARAS and related systems.
  • Update MAOP Reconfirmation work scopes based on research results.
  • Develop new MAOP Reconfirmation work scopes for execution by Project Execution.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of research activities, evaluations, findings, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Pipeline Safety, GIS, Records Management, Engineering and Project Execution to resolve data issues.

Job description

Pipeline Safety Data Specialist will support Pipeline Safety and compliance initiatives by researching, locating, evaluating, and applying records necessary to establish and validate Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP). This position will work across multiple record repositories and systems to identify strength test, material, and survey records; determine traceable, verifiable, and complete (TVC) status; support GIS data corrections; and develop MAOP Reconfirmation work scopes for execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and locate strength test records, material records, survey records, and other documentation supporting MAOP from multiple sources, including Asset Record Archival System (ARAS), SharePoint locations, Aconex, Pressure Test Portal, Records Information Management (RIM), and hard-copy record repositories.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate sourced records to determine traceable, verifiable, and complete (TVC) disposition in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Correlate and apply TVC records to the appropriate pipeline locations and assets.
  • Identify gaps, discrepancies, or data quality issues associated with strength test, material, and MAOP records.
  • Prepare and submit Geographic Information Systems (GIS) service requests to correct missing, incomplete, or inaccurate strength test, material, and related asset records.
  • Compile, organize, and archive TVC evaluation packages within ARAS.
  • Update existing MAOP Reconfirmation work scopes based on record research and evaluation results.
  • Develop new MAOP Reconfirmation work scopes for execution by the Project Execution organization.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of research activities, record evaluations, findings, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Pipeline Safety, GIS, Records Management, Engineering, and Project Execution personnel to resolve record and data issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience researching, organizing, and evaluating engineering, construction, operational, or regulatory records.
  • Ability to analyze technical documentation and determine record applicability and completeness.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with document management systems, databases, and electronic records repositories.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of pipeline operations, integrity management, MAOP, pressure testing, and material traceability.
  • Familiarity with GIS systems and asset data management processes, linear referencing, and applying stationing to pipeline assets.
  • Experience with Asset Record Archival System (ARAS), Aconex, Pressure Test Portal, Records Information Management (RIM), or similar records management systems.
  • Understanding of PHMSA regulations and traceable, verifiable, and complete (TVC) record requirements.
