Job summary

Danos, LLC is seeking a Line Locator to locate and mark underground pipelines and utilities in response to Texas 811 locate requests. You will read maps and drawings, document activities, and coordinate with contractors and field personnel in a safety-conscious environment.

Must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and prior Line Locator experience. The role requires outdoor work in all weather conditions and familiarity with pipeline operations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Previous Line Locator experience required.
• Experience responding to 811 locate requests.
• Ability to read maps and utility drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a field environment.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Experience locating oil & gas pipelines.
• Knowledge of underground utility locating equipment.
• Experience using Salesforce or other maintenance management software.
• Familiarity with pipeline operations and maintenance.
• Must meet conditional job offer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Texas 811 locate requests within required timeframes.

Overview

The Line Locator is responsible for accurately locating and marking underground pipelines and utilities in response to Texas 811 locate requests. This position plays a critical role in preventing utility damage, protecting public safety, and ensuring compliance with state regulations while supporting daily pipeline operations.
