Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking a pipeline engineering professional to support integrity programs, In-Line inspections, and remediation projects across the Southeast region. The role requires strong project management and communication skills, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates will have a BS in Engineering or seven years of related experience in natural gas or petroleum pipelines, with proficiency in estimating, budgeting, and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering preferred; seven years of commensurate experience in natural gas or petroleum pipeline design, project management, construction, maintenance, and repair may be acceptable in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage In-line inspection tool runs and remediation projects to maintain pipeline integrity.
• Generate project alternatives, cost estimates, secure funding, track expenses, and submit closure documents.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, bid documents; manage bid process, select contractors and materials; coordinate permitting.
• Apply design and operating philosophy to meet safety, regulatory, efficiency, and profitability goals.
• Review projects for economics, OSHA Safety, company standards, construction standards, and maintenance procedures.
• Provide engineering support to operations.
• Prioritize workload across multiple projects and adapt to new priorities on short notice.
• Travel 25–40% to field sites and offices; hybrid schedule (M–W in office, Th & F remote when travel not required).
