Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking a senior Project Management leader to guide the Pipeline Integrity Project Management team in the United States. You will oversee professional and administrative staff, advance processes, and ensure delivery of projects within cost and schedule constraints while complying with regulatory standards.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive PM experience in oil and gas, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects across a nationwide portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; B.S. in Engineering strongly preferred.
• At least 8 years of experience in Project Management and/or Engineering in the Oil and Gas Industry.
• Proven experience in management of multiple professional and administrative personnel.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project software.

Responsibilities

• Lead professional and administrative personnel.
• Develop and improve personnel, processes, standards, and procedures.
• Help develop and guide 3 subordinate managers and assist with their growth and career development.
• Manage not only the performance of the Project Managers and their team members, but direct and control the execution of Expense and Sustaining projects.
• Ensure Kinder Morgan safety culture is maintained and incorporated into projects, contractors, and project teams.
• Work directly with other Pipeline Integrity leaders to ensure that the projects are developed and managed in a way that meets the integrity goals of Kinder Morgan.
• Promote open and continuous communication between various customers, departments, and personnel.
• Hold team members accountable for their performance in support of projects.
• Lead special projects to streamline and simplify company processes and procedures.
• Supervise the monthly forecasting efforts of the PMs.
• Meet with stakeholders to achieve, manage, and maintain business goals.
• Participate in the annual project selection and budgeting process.
• Review in detail and approve all estimates generated by the team.
