Job summary

NorthWestern Energy's Pipeline Integrity team is seeking a skilled Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain integrity management programs for the gas transmission system. You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Gas Control, and related groups to ensure safety and compliance.

The role emphasizes risk modeling, regulatory compliance with 49 CFR Parts 191/192 and Canadian OPR, field inspections, data analysis, and program improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required; preference for Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum, Metallurgical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Maintain TIMP and develop/modify processes to improve pipeline integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain pipeline risk models and assess threats using data, trends, and industry information.
• Assist with MAOP reconciliation and integrity assessments outside High Consequence Areas.
• Develop procedures for integrity projects, including inspections, bypasses, purging, and commissioning.
• Support regulatory audits and interact with field teams during inspections.
