Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a Design Coordinator in Minnesota to oversee drafting and design tasks and improve production efficiency. You will apply CAD expertise to enhance project performance, schedule adherence, and resource use.

As part of the role, you will coordinate with Project Managers, motivate staff, interview and train new hires, and maintain time/production records while estimating project revenue and costs. A strong background in pipeline projects is required.

Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years of experience in the pipeline industry.
• 0 to 5 years experience managing designers/drafters, dealing with HR issues, budgets, utilization.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience with alignment sheets, HDD, and working with survey data.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate departmental activities with Project Managers and corporate needs.

What Youll Do

This role oversees and coordinates the work of employees performing one or more drafting and design tasks; suggests ways to enhance production processes, equipment performance, and product quality; suggests changes to processes to enhance working conditions, process flow, and equipment use to increase departmental efficiency; estimates staff-hour requirements for projects to be completed on time; studies production schedules and establishes or modifies work procedures to meet schedules, utilizing knowledge of CAD machines and software capacities.

As a Design Coordinator, a typical day may include the following:

• Conferring with Project Managers to coordinate departmental activities with corporate needs
• Initiating or suggesting plans to motivate staff to achieve work goals
• Recommending or initiating personnel actions, for example, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures
• Interviewing potential new hires and training new workers
• Maintaining time and production records
• Estimating revenue and cost of current and future projects

Required Qualifications
