Job summary

Williams is seeking a Pipeline Controller Associate for Tulsa, OK to ensure safe, reliable operation of the pipeline system. You will monitor pressures, set flow rates, and respond to alarms in a 24/7 environment with 12-hour rotating shifts.

You should have a high school diploma and at least 1 year in the energy sector or a control room; preferred: 2-year technical degree and 2+ years in pipeline operations. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor system pressures and flows along the pipeline.
  • Set flow rates and pressure at interconnections.

  • Remotely start/stop engines and pumps to maintain pressure.
  • Coordinate product rerouting and notify during emergencies.
  • Receive and route calls from customers.

As Pipeline Controller Associate, you’ll be responsible for the safe and reliable operation of the entire pipeline system. Excellent organization and interpersonal skills are keys to success! ## ## **Responsibilities/Expectations:*** Continuously evaluates system pressures and flows of gas and liquids from receipt points along the pipeline system to delivery points* Sets flow rates and pressure set points at pipeline interconnections and delivery points* Oversees computer systems and alarms* Starts and stops engines and pumps remotely to maintain system volume and pressure* Carries out decisions regarding product rerouting and appropriate notification during emergency situations* Receives, screens and routes calls from customers and others* Other duties as assigned## ## **Education/Years of Experience:*** Required: High school diploma/GED and a minimum of one (1) year experience in relevant industry or control room environment* Preferred: Associate's Degree or two-year technical degree and a minimum of two (2) years' experience in pipeline operations, gas scheduling and relevant industry or control room environment## ## Physical and Environmental Work Requirements:* Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed* Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time## ## **Other Requirements:*** Able to work in a 24/7 environment with 12 hour rotating shift schedules (Modified DuPont)* Able to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts, occasional PTO coverage, and holidays as needed* Must demonstrate organization/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority* Needs basic knowledge of MS Office applications* Preferred: Energy experience in plant, refinery or control room operations* Preferred: Previous gas scheduling experience## **Why Tulsa?**Because here, you don’t have to choose between career and lifestyle.
