Job summary

Mack Jones Enterprises in Jonesboro, Georgia, is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to work on underground utilities excavation. Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in utility installation of water mains and have operational skills with excavators, dozers, and loaders.

Applicants must have a proven safety record and the ability to perform daily maintenance on equipment. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Immediate openings available for four operators.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret plans is essential.
• A proven safety record is required.
• Experience performing pre-trip inspections and day-to-day maintenance on heavy equipment.

• Operates heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, and loaders.
• Performs routine daily maintenance on all trucks and equipment.
• Prepares daily reports of equipment hours and fuel used.
• Coordinates with crew members in response to signals.

Job description

Mack Jones Enterprises Inc. is hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators who are experienced in underground utilities excavation work with references. Years of experience and good skills are considered more valuable than education. All applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, E-verify, a DMV driver background check, a valid driver’s license, have reliable transportation. MJE has immediate openings for four heavy equipment operators.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in utility installation of water mains
• MUST have experience with excavator, dozer, and/or rubber tire and skid steer loaders
• Ability to read and interpret plans.
• A proven safety record.
• Must have experience preforming pretrip inspections and day to day maintenance on heavy equipment.
• Class A CDL not a must but helpful.
• Follow all company safety policies including taking specific action to avoid other workers, other equipment, potential obstructions and marked or unmarked utility lines.

Additional Information

• Operates equipment including excavator, dozer, trackhoe, loader (rubber tire and skid), truck dump and other heavy equipment.
• Performs routine daily maintenance on all trucks and heavy equipment, including fueling, servicing and minor mechanical repairs.
• Prepares daily reports of equipment hours, inventory and fuel used.
• Communicates with mechanics for truck and equipment repair.
• Coordinate with crew members in response to hand and /or audio signals.
