Job summary

LEMOINE is seeking a Pipelayer to join our Civil Group, installing and maintaining underground piping for water, sewer, storm drainage, and other utilities on civil projects. You will read blueprints, follow trench safety rules, and coordinate with operators and foremen to ensure precise alignment and safe work practices.

The role requires experience with pipe materials (PVC, concrete, ductile iron, HDPE), OSHA-related trench safety, and the ability to lift 50+ lbs while performing physically

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of underground utilities/pipeline experience.
• Knowledge of PVC, concrete, ductile iron, HDPE materials.
• Experience reading blueprints and survey stakes.
• Familiarity with OSHA excavation safety.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various conditions.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lay and install underground piping per plans and specifications.
• Read blueprints and project plans to determine installation requirements.
• Perform trenching and comply with OSHA safety regulations.
• Ensure proper alignment, grade, and sealing of pipes.
• Backfill trenches and restore work areas after installation.
• Operate hand and power tools for pipe installation.
• Rig and set heavy pipes using hoists or cranes when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite.
