Job summary

Jobtailor in Savannah, GA is seeking a skilled pipe fitter to assemble, install, and repair underground piping for water, sewer, and storm drain systems. The role requires reading blueprints and working with lasers and transits to ensure precise placement.

Qualifications

• Ability to work on their feet for an entire day.
• Ability to understand and perform assigned tasks.
• Willingness to complete Garney-provided certifications, including Rigging and Signaling Certification, Confined Space Training Certification, and OSHA 10 hour.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• May be required to complete a post-offer physical and site-specific background check.
• Must work in a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and repair underground pipes and fittings for water, sewer, and drain work.
• Prepare pipe-laying areas by directing trenching and grading.

• Join pipes using screws, bolts, fittings, solder, and plastic solvent cement.
• Test pipes for leakage, and measure and cut pipe.
