Job summary

Cleland Site Prep, a CRH Company, seeks a Pipelayer to align and connect underground pipelines for water, sewer, storm drainage, or utility systems in the Low Country of South Carolina and Georgia.

Responsibilities include cutting, measuring, and preparing pipes, trenching and site prep, and coordinating with crew and operators. Safety, PPE, and adherence to project specs are essential as you contribute to reliable underground work.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with supervisors, project managers, and crew.
• Maintaining compliance with required job specifications.
• Requires motions: bending, hammering, stooping, pushing, pulling, squatting, and throwing.

Responsibilities

• Cut, measure, and prepare pipes for fitting and connections using proper tools and installation techniques.
• Perform trenching, shoring, clearing of materials, and site preparation for pipe installation.
• Work closely with crew members and equipment operators.
• Identify and mark all utilities and underground lines prior to excavation activities.
• Attach trench boxes to chains or guide wires for safe lowering and lifting by equipment operators.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear PPE; take proactive measures to avoid hazards.
• Carry out additional duties related to the role as assigned by foreman or supervisor.

A pipelayer will be responsible for aligning, and connecting underground pipelines for water, sewer, storm drainage, or utility systems.

Responsibilities

• Cut, measure, prepare, pipes for fitting and connections using proper tools, bonding agents, and installation techniques in accordance with project specifications.
• Perform trenching, shoring, clearing of materials, and site preparation for pipe installation.
• Work closely with crew members and equipment operators
• Identify and mark all utilities and underground lines prior to excavation activities.
• Attach trench boxes to chains or guide wires for safe lowering and lifting by equipment operators.
• Follow all safety protocols, wear required PPE and take proactive measures to avoid hazards or obstructions.
• Carry out additional duties related to the role as assigned on a temporary or permanent basis by foreman or supervisor.

Pipelayer (Finance)

Work Environment:

• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud; however, PPE will be provided by our team to keep you safe. Steel-toed boots are mandatory.

• Job requires the following motions: bending, hammering, stooping, pushing, pulling, squatting, and throwing. Walking and standing occupy most of the workday.
