Responsibilities

  • Align and position pipes for welding or sealing.
  • Check slopes for conformance using levels or lasers.
  • Connect pipe pieces and seal joints using welding equipment.
  • Cover pipes with earth or other materials.
  • Cut pipes to required lengths.
  • Dig trenches to required depths by hand or using tools.
  • Grade and level trench bases using tamping machines.
  • Install and repair water and sewer structures and pipe systems.
  • Lay out pipe routes according to blueprints.
  • Work safely and prevent unsafe actions.
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing.
  • Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers.
  • Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement, or glue.
  • Cover pipes with earth or other materials.
  • Cut pipes to required lengths.
  • Dig trenches to desired or required depths, by hand or using trenching tools.
  • Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools.
  • Install and repair water, stormwater & sewer structures and pipe systems.
  • Lay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints, and coordinating layouts with supervisors.
  • Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
  • Job requires steady to intermittent physical activity including standing, stooping kneeling, climbing, walking on uneven ground, shoveling, and raking.
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be willing to work flexible shifts

  • Valid driver's license but a CDL is a bonus
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background
