Job summary

Skilled Trades Services in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Pipefitter to join a commercial team building out an educational facility. You will measure, cut, thread, groove, and assemble pipe (up to 5") per drawings and codes to spec.

Responsibilities include installing hangers and supports, verifying slopes and elevations, staging materials with the foreman, and pressure testing and finalizing systems for inspection. OSHA guidelines apply.

Qualifications

• Read prints/takeoffs per drawings and codes.
• Hands-on experience with hand and power tools.
• Strong safety mindset; follows OSHA and site protocols.
• OSHA-compliance oriented safety practices.

Job description

Project:Join a commercial team building out an educational facility. You’ll handle installation, layout, and assembly of piping systems—including Copper Pipe & Weld Pipe up to 5\" in diameter—to spec, safely and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, thread, groove, and assemble pipe (up to 5\") per drawings and codes
• Install hangers/supports and verify slopes, elevations, and clearances
• Work with foreman to stage materials and maintain a clean, safe work area
• Pressure test, troubleshoot, and finalize systems for inspection/turnover

Requirements

• Clean backgroundand ability topass a pre-employment drug screening
• Reliable transportationand consistentMonday–Friday, 40-hour availability
• Hands-on experience with Well Pipe up to 5\"(commercial environment)
• Ability to read prints/takeoffs and work safely with hand and power tools
• Strong safety mindset; follows OSHA and site-specific protocols

Pay Rate: $28-$30/hr DOE
