Job Details

The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, installation, and repair of piping systems across various commercial buildings. This role requires a high level of technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to adhere to strict safety protocols at all times. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field and possess a strong understanding of various types of piping materials and systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dedicated team working on exciting construction projects.

Responsibilities
  1. Reading and interpreting blueprints to understand the specific requirements of each project.
  2. Assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems for commercial buildings.
  3. Measuring, cutting, grooving, threading, welding, and joining various types of pipes including copper, cast iron, PVC, PEX, etc.
  4. Utilizing hand tools and machines to bend pipes as required.
  5. Testing piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges for any indications of leaks.
  6. Adhering to all safety protocols, including wearing proper PPE, keeping the worksite organized and free of hazards.
  7. Welding in all positions (standing, kneeling, etc.) as the job demands.
  8. Using roll groove machines as required.
  9. Sweating and brazing pipes as needed.
Qualifications

  2. Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  3. Demonstrated experience with welding in all positions.
  4. Proficiency in sweating and brazing.
  5. Experience using a roll groove machine.

  7. Familiarity with various types of pipes including copper, cast iron, PVC, PEX, etc.
  8. Proficient in using pipe-bending tools and machines.
  9. Proven ability to test piping systems for leaks.
  10. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  11. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy items and work in various positions.
