Job summary

Synthomer plc is seeking a Steam/Pipefitter at our Jefferson Site, located about 15 miles south of Pittsburgh, PA. The role requires performing site-wide pipefitting tasks, welding to carbon steel and stainless steel piping, and following rigorous safety procedures under our Responsible Care program.

You will work with various pipe materials and be required to read schematics and maintenance manuals. The position emphasizes safe operation of tools, accurate recordkeeping, and strong

Qualifications

• Must possess valid PA Driver's License.
• Must be able to wear a respirator and be clean‑shaven.

Responsibilities

• Follow plant safety rules including lockout/tagout, hot work, confined space, chemical handling.
• Use steam and pipefitting hand tools for industrial pipe fabrication and welding.
• Assemble plastic, fiberglass, steel pipe assemblies and perform quality welds per 6G position.
• Read and interpret piping schematics, boiler system drawings, and use measurement tools.
• Maintain records and keep work areas clean and organized.
