Job summary

MWH Constructors in Austin, Texas is seeking an experienced Pipefitter to support a critical wastewater treatment plant construction project on-site. You will read plans, assemble pipe systems, and ensure proper sizing and routing of pipes.

Responsibilities emphasize safety, adherence to project specs, and collaboration with the mechanical superintendent to configure layouts and install pumps and process equipment.

Qualifications

• Pipefitting experience and ability to interpret plans and specs.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to coordinate with supervisors and teams on site.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the MWH safety program.
• Coordinate with mechanical superintendent to configure pipe system layout.
• Select proper pipes, hangers, and other hydraulic components.
• Assemble materials at job site.
• Cut, thread, and prepare pipes per specs.
• Secure pipes to walls, tanks, and fixtures.
• Set process equipment (pumps, mixers, heat exchangers).
• Repair and maintain pipe systems and components.
• Interpret plans, blueprints, and sketches.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
