HII's Newport News Shipbuilding division seeks a Pipefitter with a required diploma/certificate in pipe fitting or a related field. You will read blueprints, fabricate and install piping systems aboard ships, and inspect/test installations. Training is provided, including Fundamentals of Pipe Fitting in early weeks.

Candidates must meet physical requirements and be able to work the assigned shift. This is an on-site role at Newport News with no relocation assistance.

Qualificações

• Must have certificate or diploma in pipe fitting or a related field.
• Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Ability to kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop and climb.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Must be able to work assigned shift as production needs.

Responsabilidades

• Read blueprints and specifications for piping systems.
• Fabricate, install, inspect and test piping systems onboard ships.
• Attend Fundamentals of Pipe Fitting training and ongoing training as needed.
• Collaborate with team to ensure safe, compliant installations.
