Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Southeast is seeking a Pipefitter/Plumber to work in our fabrication shop, assisting with fabrication of plumbing and piping systems for commercial and industrial projects. You will support installation teams on large healthcare, government, and manufacturing sites.

The role requires basic tool use, ability to read measurements, and basic math. OSHA 10 is preferred and training can be provided. Schedule is Monday–Friday with overtime potential, starting pay at $18/hour.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic hand tools and ability to read a tape measure.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred (company will provide if needed).
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division for measurements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the fabrication of plumbing/piping materials per blueprints and specs.
• Use hand tools and power tools to prefabricate assemblies from shop drawings.
• Assist with commercial/industrial plumbing installation from rough-ins to trim outs.
• Load/unload materials and support installation activities as needed.

Job description

As a Pipefitter/Plumber, the job is working in our fabrication shop. You will assist with the fabrication of various plumbing and piping systems that will be installed on commercial and / or industrial construction sites.

Job Duties

• Assist with the fabrication of plumbing/piping materials in accordance with blueprints and specifications
• Once properly trained, use of hand tools and power tools including a pipe plasma cutter, treading machine and pipe cutter to prefabricate assemblies in accordance to shop drawings.
• Assists with commercial and industrial plumbing installation from underground/rough-ins, stack out to trim outs on large scale construction projects such as healthcare, government, educations, manufacturing and others
• Assist with loading and unloading materials
• Assists with the installation of chilled, hot and steam piping
• Assist with the installation of valves, hangers, supports, and flanges inside HVAC piping systems
• Prepare pipe and fittings for hoisting and rigging
• Able to work off ladders, man lifts and other equipment from various heights
• Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic hand tools and ability to read a tape measure
• OSHA 10 certification preferred (company will provide if needed)
• Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to perform routine measurements and calculations. Ability to work with fractions, percentages, and decimals

Compensation

• Wage Range Starting at: $18/hr. based on qualifications & experience

• Monday – Friday 6:00am – 4:30pm (schedule may change for different seasons)
