Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Baton Rouge, LA seeks an experienced Pipefitter Foreman / Pipe Welder Foreman to supervise field crews while actively performing hands-on pipefitting, welding, fabrication, and installation on industrial piping projects.

The ideal candidate will lead crews safely, read isometrics and P&IDs, coordinate materials and schedules, and deliver quality workmanship in heavy industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Industrial Pipefitter Foreman, Pipe Welder Foreman, Piping Foreman, Working Foreman, or Industrial Piping Crew Leader.
• Strong hands-on background in industrial pipefitting, industrial pipe welding, and pipe fabrication.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and work alongside skilled tradespeople on industrial piping projects.
• Experience installing and modifying industrial process piping systems in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.
• Proficiency in pipe layout, pipe fit-up, pipe fabrication, and industrial piping installation.
• Ability to interpret isometric piping drawings, P&IDs, technical blueprints, and installation specifications.
• Working knowledge of TIG welding (GTAW), Stick welding (SMAW), and other applicable industrial pipe welding processes.
• Understanding of industrial piping materials, fittings, flanges, valves, pipe supports, and installation methods.
• Experience planning work activities, coordinating crews, and addressing field installation challenges.
• Strong understanding of industrial jobsite safety, welding safety, and quality workmanship.
• Ability to contribute immediately with minimal training in fundamental pipefitting and welding operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise crews of Industrial Pipefitters, Pipe Welders, and Piping Fabricators on industrial installation projects.
• Perform hands-on industrial pipefitting, pipe welding, pipe fabrication, and piping system installations.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute industrial piping installation projects, including pipe routing, layout, fabrication, assembly, and field installation.
• Read and interpret piping isometric drawings, blueprints, P&IDs, and fabrication drawings.
• Oversee pipe layout, pipe spool fabrication, pipe alignment, pipe supports, and piping assembly.
• Perform and oversee welding operations involving carbon steel, stainless steel, and other industrial piping materials.
• Coordinate crew assignments, materials, tools, equipment, and daily installation activities.
• Troubleshoot field installation challenges and resolve piping alignment, fit-up, and fabrication issues.
• Ensure piping installations meet applicable quality standards, welding procedures, project specifications, and safety requirements.
• Maintain productivity, workmanship, and effective communication with project managers and other field personnel.
• Work alongside crew members to complete complex piping installations safely and efficiently.

We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter Foreman / Pipe Welder Foreman with a strong background in industrial pipefitting, pipe welding, piping fabrication, and industrial piping installation.

The ideal candidate is a Hands-On Working Foreman who can effectively supervise field crews while actively participating in pipefitting, welding, fabrication, and installation activities.

This position requires an experienced industrial trades professional who understands complex piping systems, can plan and execute piping installations, and can lead crews safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in industrial manufacturing plants, heavy industrial facilities, equipment installation, plant expansions, and industrial piping projects.

This is a working Foreman position, not a supervisory-only role. Successful candidates must be comfortable leading a crew while performing hands‑on pipefitting and welding work.
