H & H Sheet Metal Fabricators Inc in Russellville, KY is seeking an Industrial Pipe Fitter responsible for layout, fabrication, assembly, installation, maintenance and repair of piping systems in industrial facilities.

You will read isometric drawings, blueprints and P&IDs, lay out and fit pipes, install various materials, perform testing and assure safety and quality. Apprenticeship and OSHA certifications are preferred; 3+ years of experience in industrial settings is desired.

Formación

• 3+ years of industrial pipe fitting experience preferred.
• Experience in industrial construction, manufacturing, power generation, chemical, refinery, food processing, or similar environments preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and P&IDs.
• Knowledge of industrial piping systems, materials, and installation methods.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and pipe fabrication equipment.
• Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
• Ability to perform field calculations and layouts.
• Understanding of welding preparation and fit-up requirements.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe work practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilidades

• Read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, P&IDs, and project specifications.
• Lay out, measure, cut, bevel, thread, groove, and fit piping systems according to project requirements.
• Assemble and install piping materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, PVC, HDPE, and other piping materials.
• Install valves, flanges, fittings, supports, hangers, expansion joints, and related components.
• Perform pipe alignment and fit-up for welding operations.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using measuring devices and layout tools.
• Assist with hydrostatic, pneumatic, and pressure testing of piping systems.
• Install process piping, utility piping, compressed air systems, steam systems, chilled water systems, and other industrial piping applications.
• Troubleshoot and repair existing piping systems.
• Replace damaged or worn piping components.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities as assigned.
• Support plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and outage work.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), pre-task planning, and toolbox meetings.
• Properly utilize PPE.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements.

The Industrial Pipe Fitter is responsible for the layout, fabrication, assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems used in industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, power generation facilities, and construction projects. This position requires the ability to read and interpret drawings, perform precise measurements, and safely install piping systems in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.

• Read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, P&IDs, and project specifications.
• Lay out, measure, cut, bevel, thread, groove, and fit piping systems according to project requirements.
• Assemble and install carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, PVC, HDPE, and other piping materials.
• Install valves, flanges, fittings, supports, hangers, expansion joints, and related components.
• Perform pipe alignment and fit-up for welding operations.

• Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions immediately.

Quality Assurance

• Verify installations meet project drawings and specifications.
• Ensure work complies with applicable codes and standards.
• Conduct inspections of completed work for accuracy and quality.
• Maintain accurate documentation of completed work activities.

Teamwork & Communication

• Work effectively with welders, millwrights, electricians, operators, and other craft personnel.
• Communicate project status, material needs, and potential issues to supervisors.
• Mentor apprentices and less experienced pipe fitters when assigned.
• Completion of a Pipe Fitter Apprenticeship Program preferred.

Experience

• 3+ years of industrial pipe fitting experience preferred.
• Experience in industrial construction, manufacturing, power generation, chemical, refinery, food processing, or similar environments preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and P&IDs.
• Knowledge of industrial piping systems, materials, and installation methods.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and work in elevated areas for extended periods.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and varying environmental conditions.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate tools and equipment.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators when necessary.
• Industrial construction sites, manufacturing facilities, power plants, and operating facilities.
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, dust, vibration, and moving mechanical equipment.
• May require overtime, weekends, night shifts, and travel based on project needs.
