Summary

At Cherokee Millwright, we provide multi-trades personnel to meet our customers' unique needs, including skills in millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, civil, and more. This role focuses on laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems and related equipment for various industrial systems, with cross-training in other trades.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Cut, thread, and assemble pipe using appropriate tools.
• Secure pipes and fittings through welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, or threading.
• Attach pipes to structures using brackets, clamps, or welding.
• Inspect and test installed systems.
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
• Plan pipe system layouts and repairs.
• Develop additional skills in other crafts as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED; or two years related experience or training; or equivalent.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to follow instructions and solve problems involving multiple variables.

Physical Demands

Regular standing, walking, handling, reaching, and communication. Occasional sitting, climbing, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity required.

Work Environment

Exposure to mechanical parts, weather, high places, fumes, heat, electrical hazards, and vibration. Moderate noise level.
