Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking a Pipefitter at its International Falls, MN Paper Mill. The role supports a paper manufacturing operation, with a team-driven approach to boost productivity and reduce downtime.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and can obtain a Minnesota High Pressure Piping License within 4 years; apprenticeship or equivalent training is preferred and MN plumbing license is a plus. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed.
• Ability to obtain a Minnesota High Pressure Piping License within 4 years.
• Ability to sit, stoop, and bend.
• Ability to work from heights.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug test.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have a current valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team in support of a paper manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic systems including steam, water, and heating systems.
• Responsible for the installation and repairing of expansion joints, valves, gaskets, and steam traps.
• Read drawings, complete layouts, cut/join and fit pipe tubing.
• Ability to make pipe patterns for saddles, reducers, and offsets along with pipe fabrication.
• Maintain condensate systems.
• Install, repair, replace, maintain, and modify piping systems.
• Install, repair, replace, maintain, and modify natural gas, oxygen, gas (including chlorine), chemical, and process lines.
• Install, repair, replace, maintain, and modify non-condensable lines.
• Perform ARC welding and TIG welding.
• Perform proper rigging and use of mobile cranes, lift conveyors, and hoists.
