Job summary

Environmental Air Systems is seeking a hands-on helper to assist pipefitters in layout, assembly, and installation of piping systems. You will transport materials, prepare work areas, and perform basic pipefitting tasks under supervision, while adhering to safety protocols and PPE guidelines.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a team environment. OSHA 10 certification is required within the last five years.

Job description

Responsibilities:Assist pipefitters with the layout, assembly, and installation of piping systems according to specifications and blueprints.Transport and organize materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site, ensuring they are readily available for use.Prepare work areas by cleaning and organizing spaces, removing debris, and ensuring a safe working environment.Perform basic pipefitting tasks under the supervision of experienced pipefitters, including cutting, threading, and assembling pipes.Follow all safety protocols and procedures, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety meetings.Clean, maintain, and store tools and equipment properly to ensure they are in good working condition.Assist in maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered during the project.Education Requirements/Qualifications:Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required.
