Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years or more in refinery maintenance/turnaround/or construction experience.
• General knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Must pass the Pipefitter Helper Skills Test at or above 70% or NCCER certification for your craft.
• Complete Matrix Service Safety training, Process Safety Management training and Client / Site specific training.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active status within the approved drug testing program.
• Must be able to pass a Background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist Fitters/Welder with layouts, installations, maintains and repairs piping systems.
• Receive and interpret instructions and prints; plan details of working procedure and select materials.
• Lay out work, calculate dimensions, and sketch piping systems as needed.
• Set up and operate bending, threading and cutoff equipment; shape and fabricate pipe.
• Test and inspect piping components; assemble and test piping systems.
• Assist with hangers and supports; handle materials and tools to/from job site.
• Report work performed; identify safety hazards and take corrective action.
