Job Description

The Pipefitting Foreman will lead a team of three or more workers, overseeing trades and labor work, and demonstrating proficiency in the trades to effectively carry out duties. Responsibilities include:

1. Passing instructions from supervisors to workers and initiating work.
2. Leading by example and setting the work pace.
3. Ensuring proper work methods and availability of plans, blueprints, materials, and tools.
4. Obtaining information or decisions from supervisors when needed.
5. Maintaining current knowledge and assisting workers with procedures and policies.
6. Monitoring work progress and quality, ensuring deadlines are met.
7. Adhering to safety and housekeeping rules.
8. Reporting progress and issues to superintendents and project managers.
9. Answering supervisor questions regarding operations and problems.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ verifiable experience in pipefitting.
• Thorough knowledge of piping blueprints, specifications, and codes.
• Knowledge of other major craft blueprints.
• Understanding of plumbing and piping systems.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with employees and clients.
• Ability to supervise multiple employees and schedule projects effectively.
• Attention to detail.
