Job summary

E-ONE manufactures custom and commercial fire trucks in Ocala, Florida. This role focuses on assembling, installing, and repairing pipes and plumbing components to spec within vehicle builds. Read specs, measure accurately, and work with a team to ensure high-quality, leak-free piping systems.

Candidates must have a HS Diploma or GED, be able to read English, and read a tape measure. Physical stamina and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must read and understand English to follow specs and instructions.
• Ability to read a tape measure and interpret measurements.
• Strong eye for detail and accuracy in pipe installations.

Responsibilities

• Study specs and drawings to determine required work aids and installation sequence.
• Inspect structure to avoid obstructions that could weaken it during pipe installation.
• Locate and mark pipe positions and openings in walls and floors.
• Cut openings in walls and floors to fit pipes using hand and power tools.
• Cut and thread pipe using pipe cutters, torch, and threading machine.
• Bend pipe to required angles using bending tools.
• Assemble and install valves, fittings, and pipes of various materials.
• Join pipes using screws, bolts, fittings, solder, or solvent.
• Fill the system with water or air and check for leaks.
• Install and repair plumbing as required per build.
• May weld fixtures to steel structural members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
