Job summary

Clark Construction is seeking a skilled pipefitter to join our field teams. The role involves selecting pipes and fittings, planning installation sequences, cutting and threading pipe, mounting hangers, and testing piping systems for leaks on active job sites.

You will work outdoors on projects ranging from commercial to infrastructure, adhere to Clark's safety standards, and collaborate with foremen and fellow trades to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
  • Ability to read drawings including pipe shop drawings, mechanical drawings, and P&ID's.
  • Excellent physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Always attentive to detail and alert to ensure safety.

Responsibilities

  • Align with Clark standards of excellence and uphold safety and teamwork.
  • Select pipe types/sizes and related materials per specs.
  • Help foreman plan installations to avoid obstructions.
  • Cut pipe with cutters, saws, and power tools.
  • Thread pipe with threading machine.
  • Operate Victaulic grooving safely.
  • Mount pipe hangers and brackets.
  • Assemble/install pipes and fittings with joints.
  • Secure pipes to structures with brackets and clamps.
  • Test piping for leaks and monitor gauges.
  • Follow safety rules and company policies.
  • Work around heavy machinery and cranes.
  • Rig and signal loads as required.
  • Set/align pumps and blowers.
  • Layout piping and calculate offsets.
  • Perform other duties as required.
