Job summary

U.S. Engineering Construction is seeking a Plumbing Detailer to deliver detailed mechanical BIM models in line with company standards and building codes.

You will support projects through AutoCAD, Fab MEP, Revit, and Navisworks, creating fabrication drawings and resolving complex drafting challenges. The ideal candidate has pipefitting experience, a related degree, and knowledge of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Associates Degree in Engineering or Drafting Technology Field.
• Prior experience in pipefitting.
• Licensed plumber preferred or 3-5 years plumber experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Fab MEP software.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks Simulate/Manage, and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Use knowledge of building trades and codes with AutoCAD, Fab, MEP, and Revit to assist in model and fabrication drawing creation.
• Perform routine to complex assignments requiring thorough CAD standards knowledge.
• Analyze sketches, notes and input material to determine best approach for drawings.
• Review work to ensure accuracy with input from supervisors and team members.
• Develop proficiency in system operation and software usage to increase productivity.

PLUMBING DETAILER

As a Plumbing Detailer you will wake up every morning with the ability to deliver successful mechanical installation projects that make lives and communities better. Your oversight through all phases of construction will make partners want to work with you again and produce impressive financial results. Responsible to complete detailed mechanical systems BIM models utilizing company standards, adhering to current building codes, and meeting project requirements.

Principal Duties and Accountabilities:

• Use knowledge of building trades and codes in tandem with AutoCAD, Fab, MEP, and Revit software to assist in model and fabrication drawing creation.
• Perform routine to complex assignments requiring thorough knowledge of computer aided drafting system standards, practices and techniques.
• Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine best approach to complete drawings.
• Review work performed to determine accuracy with input from Supervisor, and other project team members.
• Develop increased proficiency in system operation with a resulting increase in productivity, while learning how to use all software options.
  Education:
• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Associates Degree in Engineering or Drafting Technology Field.
  Experience:
• Prior experience in pipefitting.
• Licensed plumber is preferred or 3-5 years plumberexperience
  Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Fab MEP software

  Benefits and Compensation:
• The range for this position is $30.77/hour - 42.75/houris US Engineering Constructiongood faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
