Job summary

U.S. Engineering is seeking a Plumbing Detailer in Westminster, Colorado to deliver mechanical installation BIM models compliant with company standards and current codes.

You will oversee projects from concept to fabrication drawings, focusing on accuracy and efficient workflows. Qualified candidates will have Revit expertise, knowledge of piping and HVAC systems, and the ability to analyze input sketches to produce precise drawings.

Qualifications

  • Proficient knowledge of CAD/BIM standards, practices and techniques.
  • Experience with interpreting sketches, notes and input to create drawings.
  • Ability to read and understand structural and architectural drawings.
  • Understanding of mechanical systems and building trades in relation to BIM models.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of building trades and codes in tandem with Revit software to assist in model and fabrication drawing creation.
  • Perform routine to complex assignments requiring thorough knowledge of computer aided drafting system standards, practices and techniques.
  • Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine best approach to complete drawings.
  • Review work performed to determine accuracy with input from Supervisor, and other project team members.
  • Develop increased proficiency in system operation with a resulting increase in productivity, while learning how to use all software options.

PLUMBING DETAILER

As a Plumbing Detailer you will wake up every morning with the ability to deliver successful mechanical installation projects that make lives and communities better. Your oversight through all phases of construction will make partners want to work with you again and produce impressive financial results. Responsible to complete detailed mechanical systems BIM models utilizing company standards, adhering to current building codes, and meeting project requirements.

Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
  • Knowledge of building trades and codes in tandem with Revit software to assist in model and fabrication drawing creation.
  • Perform routine to complex assignments requiring thorough knowledge of computer aided drafting system standards, practices and techniques.
  • Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine best approach to complete drawings.
  • Review work performed to determine accuracy with input from Supervisor, and other project team members.
  • Develop increased proficiency in system operation with a resulting increase in productivity, while learning how to use all software options.
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Associates Degree in Engineering or Drafting Technology Field preferred.
Experience:
  • Prior experience in pipefitting.
  • Licensed plumber is preferred or 3-5 years plumberexperience
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Skill with Revit software
  • Proficiency in the use of computer-aided drafting software:
    • Navisworks Simulate/Manage
    • Proficient Revit Skills
    • Bluebeam Revu helpful but not required
  • Thorough understanding of HVAC, piping and plumbing systems.
  • Understanding of mechanical construction principles and processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Mathematical skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-management skills.
  • Ability to read and understand structural and architectural drawings.
Benefits and Compensation:
  • The range for this position is $30.77/hour - 42.75/houris US Engineering Constructiongood faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
  • Your total compensation will go beyond the number on your paycheck. Team members are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance as well as paid time off.
