Job summary

Sundt Inc. is seeking a skilled pipeline carpenter for industrial/commercial construction projects.

You will assist in planning, lay-out, and performance of pipe fitting and fabrication work in line with plans, specs, codes, and standards, while coordinating with foremen and crew to ensure quality and safety. Responsibilities emphasize productive, safe work habits, effective communication, and willingness to learn from others.

Qualifications

• Must have 1–2 years of experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry.
• NCCER Core Curriculum and/or a High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the crew.
• Produce high quality work, safely and productively always.
• Provide feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment, and information is available for the work.
• Look for opportunities for improvement in all tasks, means and methods regarding the work and be willing to learn from others.
• Learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work.
• Effective math skills – add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Learn to safely and effectively use or operate work related tools and equipment.
• Eliminate WASTE such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time.
• If unsure about any aspect of the work or issues regarding safe practices ask a supervisor before continuing.
