Job summary

Sundt Inc. is seeking a skilled pipe fitter to assist in planning, lay-out, and fabrication work in accordance with plans and standards. The role requires following directions from a foreman and maintaining safety and quality on site.

You will perform physical work, operate related tools, and strive to reduce waste while learning from more experienced crew members. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years' experience and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in industrial/construction industry
• NCCER Core Curriculum and/or high school diploma
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the crew.
• Produce high quality work, safely and productively always.
• Provide feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment, and information is available for the work.
• Look for opportunities for improvement in all tasks, means and methods regarding the work and be willing to learn from others.
• Learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work.
• Effective math skills – add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Learn to safely and effectively use or operate work related tools and equipment.
• Eliminate WASTE such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time.
• If unsure about any aspect of the work or issues regarding safe practices, ask a supervisor before continuing.
