Job summary

LEAD Staffing in Norfolk is seeking an experienced pipefitter to support shipyard operations in Virginia. You will fabricate, install, and repair piping systems aboard naval and commercial vessels following shipyard specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities include laying out, cutting, fitting, and installing piping, fabricating spools, installing valves and fittings, and performing hydrostatic testing.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of pipefitting experience, marine or shipyard experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with pipe cutting, threading, and fitting tools.
  • Strong blueprint and isometric drawing reading skills.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be willing to undergo background check and drug screening.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and extended schedules as required.

Job Opportunity: Pipefitter

Location: Norfolk

Schedule: Full-Time | Contract | 40 hours per week (Overtime as required)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter to support shipyard operations in VA. This role involves fabricating, installing, and repairing piping systems aboard naval and commercial vessels in accordance with shipyard specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lay out, cut, fit, and install piping systems including high-pressure, low-pressure, and hydraulic lines.
  • Fabricate pipe spools and supports per blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Install valves, fittings, flanges, and related piping components.
