Job summary

GABLETEK is seeking an experienced Pipefitter for a contract position in a machine tool manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will perform various pipefitting tasks independently, demonstrating the ability to maintain high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities include interpreting mechanical drawings, installing piping components, and utilizing various hand tools safely. This position requires quick adaptation in a fast-paced environment and is available for an urgent start.

Qualifications

• Ability to read mechanical assembly drawings and BOMs.
• Experience in installing service stands, lockout valves, and related piping components.
• Ability to work independently with high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematic drawings.
• Prepare and assemble valve packs and manifolds.
• Route, install, and dress hoses and tubing according to specifications.

Job description

Pipefitter – Machine Tool Manufacturing Environment
- 2 Week Contract, Urgent Start

Candidate is highly experienced performing the following pipefitting activities independently with minimal supervision in a machine tool and industrial automation environment:

Pipefitter Skills & Responsibilities

• Read and interpret pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematic drawings
• Read mechanical assembly drawings and bills of material (BOMs)
• Build, thread, and install pipe headers
• Install service stands, lockout valves, and related piping components
• Pipe robotic systems and sealer equipment
• Prepare and assemble valve packs and manifolds
• Route, install, and dress hoses and tubing to customer specifications
• Drill, tap, and ream holes as required for installation
• Perform mechanical assembly and piping modifications during machine builds
• Utilize hand tools, drill presses, grinders, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively
