Gabletek Robotics and Controls Solutions seeks an experienced Pipefitter for a two-week contract in Louisville, Kentucky. The ideal candidate will perform independently in a machine tool manufacturing environment, handling various pipefitting activities with high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities include reading and interpreting pneumatic and mechanical drawings, installing pipes and related components, and using various hand tools safely and effectively. This role is pivotal in supporting machine build and commissioning activities.

Job description

Pipefitter – Machine Tool Manufacturing Environment - 2 Week Contract, Urgent Start

Candidate is highly experienced performing the following pipefitting activities independently with minimal supervision in a machine tool and industrial automation environment:

Pipefitter Skills & Responsibilities

• Read and interpret pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematic drawings
• Read mechanical assembly drawings and bills of material (BOMs)
• Build, thread, and install pipe headers
• Install service stands, lockout valves, and related piping components
• Pipe robotic systems and sealer equipment
• Prepare and assemble valve packs and manifolds
• Route, install, and dress hoses and tubing to customer specifications
• Drill, tap, and ream holes as required for installation
• Perform mechanical assembly and piping modifications during machine builds
• Utilize hand tools, drill presses, grinders, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively
