Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Pipefitter in Katy, TX to join a growing team and contribute to piping installations and repairs.

You will read blueprints, measure, cut, thread, weld, and assemble piping systems, with emphasis on safety and teamwork. The role offers 1st or 2nd shift and a pay rate of $25.00 per hour, with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits through Staffmark.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least four years of pipefitting experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, drawings, and specifications.
• Welding, cutting, soldering, bending, and threading experience.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the shift.
• Dependable attendance and safety-focused work habits.

Responsibilities

• Plan, install, maintain, and repair piping and plumbing systems.
• Determine layouts and installation procedures from blueprints.
• Measure, cut, thread, bend, weld, and solder pipe.
• Fit piping components according to specifications.
• Secure piping systems using brackets and clamps.
• Cut or bore installation openings as needed.
• Inspect systems and test for pressure and leaks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve piping issues.
• Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and installations with management.
• Minimize equipment and production disruptions.
