Job summary

Staffmark Group in Katy, TX is seeking a Combo Welder to join a team focused on precision welding. You will perform TIG, MIG, and Stick welds on carbon steel and stainless components, read blueprints and welding symbols, and fit and weld piping, structural steel, and pressure vessel assemblies.

The role offers a $33.00 per hour pay rate, a Monday–Friday 6 AM–6 PM shift, weekly pay, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of welding and fabrication experience.
• Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding.
• Ability to pass a welding test.
• Experience reading blueprints and welding symbols.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG, MIG, and Stick welding on carbon steel and stainless steel components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols.
• Fit, align, and weld piping, structural steel, and pressure vessel assemblies.
• Inspect welds to ensure quality and compliance with procedures.
• Measure finished parts to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve fabrication issues.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Technical training in welding, fabrication, or a related trade is a plus
• Welding certifications are preferred but not required
• Ability to pass a welding test

Experience Requirements

• 2-5+ years of welding and fabrication experience
• Proficiency in TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), and Stick (SMAW) welding
• Flux-Core welding experience is a plus
• Experience working with carbon steel and stainless steel materials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move materials throughout the workday
• Manual dexterity to operate welding, measuring, and fabrication equipment
• Ability to work safely around heat, sparks, noise, and industrial machinery
• Visual ability to inspect weld quality and dimensional accuracy
