Job summary

Stuart Mechanical is seeking Pipefitters to configure, install, fit, and maintain piping systems in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The role involves reading blueprints, welding, and ensuring system integrity.

The ideal candidate should have proficiency in various welding techniques and be familiar with piping codes. You will work with specialized equipment to fabricate and secure piping systems, and troubleshoot existing systems to prevent downtime.

Qualifications

• Proficient in various welding techniques and familiar with relevant piping codes.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and perform calculations for pipe measurements.

Responsibilities

• Reading blueprints and technical drawings to plan layouts and determine material needs.
• Cutting, threading, and bending pipes using specialized equipment.
• Joining pipe sections through welding, brazing, soldering, or mechanical methods.
• Securing piping systems to structures with brackets and clamps.
• Using tests and pressure gauges to check for leaks.
• Troubleshooting malfunctions in existing systems.

Skills

Proficiency in MIG, TIG, stick welding

Familiarity with ASME B31 piping codes

Ability to read schematics and blueprints

The Pipefitters primary function is to configure, install, fit, and maintain various piping systems, and ensure smooth operation of those systems.

Stuart Mechanical provides comprehensive commercial and industrial mechanical services throughout Michigan. These HVAC services include sales, service, installation, building/automation/controls, design & builds, and preventative maintenance.

Stuart Mechanical is located in Auburn Hills, Michigan and serves the entire state of Michigan. The majority of our work is in the southeastern region. Markets served but not limited to: education, medical, automotive, religious, retail, technological, construction, fitness, property management companies, facility maintenance, etc.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in varius welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick) and familiarity with pipig codes such as ASME B31
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints and perform calculations for pipe measurments, angles and pressure laods.

Responsibilities

• Reading and analyzing blueprints and technical drawings to plan layouts, determine material needs, and ensure systems meet exact design specifications.
• System Fabrication: cutting, threading, and bending pipes to required angles using specialized equipment such as pipe benders and cutting torches.
• Joining pipe sections and fittings through welding, brazing, soldering, or mechanical methods (threading/cementing)
• Securing piping systems to structures using brackets, clmaps and hangers.
• Using hydrostatic tests and pressure gauges to check for leaks and ensure system integrity before operation.
• Troubleshooting malfunctions and replacing worn‑out components in existing systems to prevent downtime.
