Job summary

Wyatt Field Service is seeking experienced pipe welders for a turnaround project at the Cenovus Refinery in Lima, OH. The role runs now through late Oct/early Nov 2026 on a 10-hour shift schedule (13 on, 1 off) with site safety training and weld tests required.

Responsibilities include welding pipe components, verifying specs, reading drawings, and coordinating with fitters to ensure quality and on-time completion.

Location: Lima, OH (Cenovus Refinery)

Project Duration: Now – approximately end October/ early November

Schedule: Monday–Sunday | 10-hour shifts (13 days on, 1 day off)

We are currently seeking experienced Pipe Welders to support an upcoming turnaround project at the Cenovus Refinery in Lima, Ohio. This is a temporary project-based opportunity expected to continue through approximately late October or early November 2026.

We are looking for skilled, dependable individuals with industrial or refinery experience who can work safely and efficiently as part of a turnaround team.

Job Responsibilities

• Weld pipe and piping components using approved welding procedures and processes.
• Verify materials, specifications, and joint preparation prior to welding.
• Prepare and fit pipe joints for welding, ensuring proper alignment and fit-up.
• Set up and safely operate welding equipment and related tools.
• Complete required root, fill, and cap weld passes according to applicable procedures.
• Read and follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), drawings, and project requirements.
• Visually inspect completed welds and identify potential defects or quality concerns.
• Maintain required permits and follow all refinery, project, and site safety requirements.
• Coordinate with Pipefitters and other craft personnel to ensure proper fit-up and quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the turnaround project.

Qualifications

• Previous pipe welding experience in a refinery, petrochemical, industrial construction, or turnaround environment preferred.
• Ability to read and follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), drawings, and welding requirements.
• Proficient in the use of welding equipment and related tools.
• Ability to properly prepare, fit, and weld pipe joints.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to identify visual weld defects and address quality concerns.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Ability to work in an industrial/refinery environment and meet the physical demands of the position.
• Must be willing to work the schedule required for the turnaround project.
• Must be able to pass all required site safety training, background requirements, drug screening, and weld test.
