Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking experienced TIG Combo Welders for new commercial construction projects in the Austin, Texas area. The ideal candidate will be skilled in TIG (GTAW) and SMAW welding to produce high-quality welds on piping components in various positions.

Responsibilities include performing TIG root passes and stick fill/cap passes on carbon and stainless pipe, reading blueprints, preparing fit and weld materials, ensuring welds meet codes and safety standards, and inspecting welds

Qualifications

• 3+ years combo welding in a commercial setting.
• Ability to weld pipe in multiple positions (6G).
• Must have own tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG root passes and stick fill/cap passes on carbon and stainless pipe.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and project specifications.
• Prepare fit and weld materials including carbon steel and stainless steel.
• Ensure welds meet project standards, codes and safety requirements.
• Inspect welds for defects and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
