Job summary

Structured Trades in Austin, TX is seeking experienced TIG Combo Welders for commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will perform TIG root passes and stick fill/cap passes on structural steel, read blueprints, and ensure welds meet project specifications.

You must have your own tools, a minimum of 3 years in a commercial setting, and the ability to weld pipe in multiple positions (5G/6G preferred). Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combo welding experience in a commercial setting.
• Proficient in TIG root passes and stick passes on structural steel.
• Ability to weld pipe in multiple positions (5G, 6G preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG root passes and stick fill/cap passes on structural steel.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and project specifications.
• Prepare fit and weld materials including carbon steel and stainless steel.
• Ensure welds meet project standards, codes and safety requirements.
• Inspect welds for defects and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
