Job summary

Rhoads Industries in Philadelphia is seeking a Welder/Pipefitter Journeyman to join our Industrial Services team. The role requires at least 5 years of industrial pipe welding and pipefitting experience, and you must pass 6G GTAW and 6G SMAW tests plus a layout proficiency assessment.

Based at our Northeast Philadelphia office, you will read P&ID and ISO drawings, fabricate and install piping systems, and mentor less experienced teammates while supporting tight schedules and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in industrial pipe fitting and welding.
• Must pass 6G GTAW and 6G SMAW tests and a layout proficiency test.
• Own a vehicle and hold a valid driver's license; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Read P&ID and ISO drawings to fabricate and assemble piping to high quality.
• Operate power tools for fabrication and threading; rig pipe in the air.
• Work with stainless steel, aluminum and carbon steel piping; ensure safety and quality.
• Plan, coordinate pipe fabrication projects; mentor less experienced staff.
