Mach10 Solutions in the Upstate South Carolina region is seeking skilled Pipe Welders and Pipe Fitters for maintenance, shutdowns and new fabrication projects across diverse industrial environments. Candidates should bring expertise in piping fabrication, installation, welding, and repair while prioritizing safety and quality.

Role involves reading blueprints, performing TIG/MIG/stick welds, cutting, bending and threading piping, and ensuring leak testing and code compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of pipe welding experience in an industrial setting.
• Knowledge of piping materials, fabrication methods, and installation techniques.
• Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and project specifications.
• AWS or ASME certifications are a plus but not mandatory.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Construct, fabricate, assemble, and maintain piping networks per blueprints and project guidelines.
• Perform TIG, MIG, and stick welding as required by the project.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, and piping specs to guide work.
• Cut piping materials using torches, saws, and mechanical cutters.
• Bend and thread piping components to design specs.
• Install brackets, supports, and hangers to secure piping.
• Test joints for leaks and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Diagnose issues and repair existing infrastructure.
• Collaborate with leadership and trades to meet milestones.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Document tasks and material usage; be flexible for overtime.

Role Overview

An industrial construction and services organization is currently recruiting for Pipe Welders and Pipe Fitters to support upcoming maintenance tasks, industrial shutdowns, and ongoing construction initiatives across the Upstate South Carolina region. We are seeking talented professionals who possess expertise in piping fabrication, installation, welding, and repair to contribute to our industrial operations while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Key Duties

• Construct, fabricate, assemble, and maintain piping networks in alignment with technical blueprints and project guidelines.
• Execute pipe welding tasks utilizing TIG, MIG, and stick methods as dictated by specific project needs.
• Analyze and utilize technical drawings, schematics, and piping specifications to guide your work.
• Utilize specialized cutting equipment, such as torches, saws, and mechanical cutters, to size piping materials.
• Operate machinery to bend and thread piping components to meet design requirements.
• Secure piping systems by installing necessary brackets, supports, and hangers.
• Ensure the integrity of systems and joints by testing for leaks and verifying adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Support the team in diagnosing issues and performing necessary repairs on existing infrastructure.
• Collaborate with project leadership and fellow tradespeople to ensure project milestones are achieved on time.
• Help maintain a safe and orderly work environment for the entire team.
• Adhere strictly to all site-specific safety protocols and industry regulations.
• Document all completed tasks and material usage accurately.
• Commit to working extra hours or flexible shifts as necessitated by shutdown or project timelines.

Requirements

• Prior professional background as a Pipe Fitter, Pipe Welder, or dual-role Welder/Fitter within an industrial setting.
• Pipe welding applicants must demonstrate at least 3 years of relevant field experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of piping materials, fabrication methods, and installation techniques.
• Proven ability to interpret complex technical drawings and project specifications.
• Deep understanding of welding safety standards and technical practices.
• Possession of AWS or ASME certifications is considered a plus, though not mandatory for all roles.
• Capacity to function effectively both as an independent contributor and a team member.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and a meticulous eye for detail.
• Physical resilience and stamina required to perform trade tasks in diverse industrial settings.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Flexibility to accommodate overtime and varying work schedules.
• Successful completion of required assessments, such as the Monster Coupon combo-weld or Pipe Fitter tests.
• Proficiency in welding Schedule 10 stainless steel is required for specific pipe welding roles.

Operational Setting

Work will take place in various industrial environments throughout Upstate South Carolina, ranging from facility maintenance and shutdowns to new piping installations and fabrication. Your specific assignments will be determined by your trade specialization, relevant experience, and the immediate needs of the project.
