Job summary

Tic Inc is seeking a pipe welder to plan, lay out, weld, install and test pipe systems in accordance with plans, codes, and standards. The role requires coordination with field teams, precise welding setups and adherence to safety requirements.

Responsibilities include laying out pipes, performing welds, inspecting work, and assisting with pre-fabrication layouts. Outdoor work in various conditions and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to read, understand and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Proficient in safe and efficient use of electrical, hand, power and layout tools, plus measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, diagram and lay-out for pipe welder’s work.
• Coordinate with field labor crew for efficient installations.
• Position the weld setup, fit piping and perform precise welds independently.
• Lay-out and assemble pipes accurately per production standards and specifications.
• Make welding repairs and repair substandard welds.
• Assist with pre-fabrication layout or installation coordination.
• Assist with rigging of material.
• Operate air arc gouger, grinder, stress relieving machine and other industry tools.
• Estimate sizes, distances, quantities and resources needed for work.
• Inspect work for compliance with plans and specifications and take corrective action.
