Job summary

Matrix Service Company is seeking an experienced welder for industrial construction projects in the United States. The role involves welding pipe and structural components to stringent specifications, using multiple welding processes and passing NDE testing as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years or more in refinery maintenance/turnaround/construction welding.
• Must pass Weld Test and demonstrate practical welding skill.
• Complete Matrix Service Safety training and site-specific training.
• Must obtain/maintain active status in drug-testing program and pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding per jobsite specifications on pipe and structural components.
• Weld using SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, MIG, TIG and other processes as required.
• Ensure welds meet NDE requirements including visual, hydro, and 100% x-ray tests.
• Fit-up pipe, grind as needed, and work with QA/QC for accuracy and safety.
• Identify safety hazards and take corrective actions to minimize risk.
