Job summary

HireCall is seeking an experienced Pipe Welder for a Tulsa-area company. This role is in a high-performance shop where all welds are 100% X-ray inspected. Candidates must have strong pipe welding experience and consistently produce high-quality work.

Welding requirements include 3–5 years of pipe welding, proficiency in GTAW (TIG) and GMAW/FCAW (MIG/Flux Core). Tests include 6G – 2" Schedule 160 – GTAW and 1G – 6" Schedule 80 – GMAW/FCAW, plus MIG root with Flux Core fill and cap.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of pipe welding experience required.
• Must be proficient in GTAW (TIG) and GMAW/FCAW (MIG/Flux Core).
• Must pass specified weld tests: 6G – 2" Schedule 160 – GTAW; 1G – 6" Schedule 80 – GMAW/FCAW.
• MIG root with Flux Core fill and cap.
• All welds are subject to 100% X-ray inspection.
• Welders must maintain a reject rate under 4%.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and interpret isometric drawings, schematics, and blueprints to plan pipe layouts and fabrication.
• Cut, measure, thread, and bend metal and piping to exact specs.
• Fit and connect pipe sections using appropriate welding and joining processes.
• Perform pressure and hydrostatic testing to identify leaks and verify system integrity.
• Inspect and repair valves, fittings, pipe supports, and related components.
• Follow specifications and quality standards throughout fabrication and welding; problem-solve as needed.
