Qualifications

• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality pipe welding and fabrication operations
• Read and interpret blueprints, pipe drawings, weld symbols, and instrumentation drawings
• Set up and operate MIG welding equipment
• Understand pipe schedules, base materials, and welding applications
• Work with various steel alloys, aluminum, and specialty materials
• Set up welding parameters including amps, volts, and fixturing
• Use conventional and precision measuring tools accurately
• Complete process inspections, certifications, and documentation
• Perform welding equipment inspections and routine maintenance
• Support inventory audits and material tracking processes
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S standards
• Follow OSHA regulations, PPE requirements, and company safety procedures
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions
• Perform additional duties assigned

Position Overview

The Pipe Welder is responsible for weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations used in the manufacturing of products according to customer drawings, specifications, and work instructions. This role requires proficiency in multiple welding techniques and a strong understanding of welding processes, materials, and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality pipe welding and fabrication operations
• Read and interpret blueprints, pipe drawings, weld symbols, and instrumentation drawings

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Work performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing/shop environment
• Exposure to hot and cold temperatures typical of industrial facilities
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods up to 10 hours per shift
• Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling, and lifting required
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
• Frequent use of hands for welding, handling tools, and coordination tasks
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs as needed
• Normal vision and hand-eye coordination required
• Steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and required PPE must be worn at all times
