Job summary

Associates Systems LLC is seeking a Pipe Stress Engineer to perform piping design and stress analysis for industrial and process plants. You will create 3D models, run Caesar II analyses, and develop piping deliverables with strong coordination across process, mechanical, and structural teams.

Responsibilities include designing supports, optimizing layouts for safety and maintainability, and producing isometrics, BOMs, and MTOs while adhering to ASME B31.1/B31.3 and related standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in piping design and stress analysis.
• Experience with Caesar II, AutoCAD; CADWorx or Plant 3D a plus.
• Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API).
• Oil & gas, petrochemical, or power plant project experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, piping specs, and equipment layouts.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Pipe Stress Engineer for piping design and stress analysis.
• Design, analysis, and documentation of piping systems in industrial and process plants.
• Responsible for 3D modeling, pipe stress analysis, support design, and generation of piping deliverables.
• Perform pipe stress analysis using Caesar II to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASME B31.1/B31.3).
• Develop and manage 3D piping models using AutoCAD Plant 3D and Autodesk Inventor.
• Design and detail pipe supports and ensure proper integration with structural elements.
• Create and optimize piping layouts for process efficiency, safety, and maintainability.
• Generate piping isometrics, general arrangement drawings, and support details.
• Prepare and maintain BOM and MTO.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, and structural teams to ensure design consistency.
• Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, and constructability assessments.
