Job summary

Richard Construction Inc. (RCI) is seeking experienced Pipe Shop Fabrication Welders and Combo Welders to join our Beaumont, TX operation. Welders must be capable of Pulse GMAW, Spray & Globular modes, and GTAW.

They will perform weld tests at our pipe shop and assist pipe fitters in fabricating piping spools for field assembly. Candidates must have weld procedure/WPS/PQR knowledge, pass safety and QA tests, and bring required tools.

Qualifications

Must have welding experience for the welding classification
Must be able to pass weld test qualifications at RCI Pipe Shop
Must meet physical requirements and lift up to 50 lbs
Must bring required tools on start date
Must regularly and reliably report to the job site

Responsibilities

Select equipment and plan layouts, welding of pipe using geometry and metal properties
Layout, position, align, cut, assemble and fit metal components in various positions
Bolt, clamp and tack weld parts to secure for welding
Set up equipment, wire feeders, and welding parameters for quality welds
Weld metal to piping systems and supports using the appropriate welding procedure
Identify all equipment and safety risks for the job
