Job summary

Richard Construction Inc. (RCI) is seeking experienced Industrial Mechanical Welders and Combination Welders for project work in Texas. Welders will fabricate and install pipe systems, assist fitters, riggers, and work on vessels, tanks, and structural components using diverse welding methods.

Applicants must have current welding certification, be able to pass tests, and meet safety and physical requirements. This role offers hands-on field work with opportunities to advance within the company.

Qualifications

• Ability to weld in 2g, 4g, and 6g conditions (Welder II+).
• Stick and TIG weld on pipe.
• Current welding certification with RCI or ability to pass a weld test.
• Required welding experience for the classification.
• Ability to meet all safety and physical requirements.
• Bring required tools on start date.
• Must regularly and reliably report to the job site.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and plans layouts, assembly, and welding of pipe applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metals to be assembled, metals machining, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.
• Layout, position, align, cut, assemble, and fit metal components together in various body positions and in various places.
• Bolts, clamps, and tack welds parts to secure in position for welding.
• Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or arc gas welding equipment.
• Weld metal materials to piping systems, supports, or associated equipment using the appropriate welding procedure for the various equipment and metal types involved.
• Identify all equipment for job and process.
• Identify all safety risks and requirements.
