Job summary

Batchelor & Kimball, headquartered in Conyers, Georgia, is seeking a dependable Pipe Loader to join our outdoor warehouse team. You will load and unload pipe, valves, and fittings, and operate a forklift and Lull to move heavy stock safely.

Candidates must be detail oriented, able to check shipments against packing slips, and communicate effectively with teammates. Prior outdoor warehouse experience and the ability to work independently are preferred.

• Must have a sense of urgency throughout the day.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with the team and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Load/move/unload truck shipments of pipe, valves, fittings, etc. in a safe and efficient manner
• Organize, palletize, and move parts/pallets
• Operate pallet jack, forklift, and Lull in a safe and efficient manner
• Maintain work area in a clean organized, and safe manner
• Accurately check all shipments against e-mails and/or packing slips
• Follow all procedures that are in place
• Cross-train in related areas

Our current need is for a Pipe Loader. We are looking for a person that is passionate about completing tasks and going above and beyond daily goals. This person will be very detailed and is committed to the success of the team and the company. They will be responsible for preparing and loading/unloading products with a forklift and Lull outdoors.

This person will be accurate and timely in the loading and/or unloading of pipe, valves, and fitting shipments. They must be able to communicate well within the team and with other departments. The following responsibilities are essential, but not all-inclusive.

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Load/move/unload truck shipments of pipe, valves, fittings, etc. in a safe and efficient manner
• Organize, palletize, and move parts/pallets

Knowledge, skill and ability requirements (competencies required for job performance)

Prior work experience and educational requirements

• Prior experience working in an outdoor environment
• Experience with strapping flatbed trailer loads preferable
• Must be able to drive a sit-down forklift and Lull
• Must be able to work independently

Physical Demands

The physical demands of a typical warehouse and office environment, including some field travel.
